ATAK / UAS Tool Software



The Vantage Robotics family of sUAS may be flown via Vision2 using Android Tactical Awareness Kit (ATAK) and the UAS Tool plugin.  This configuration is an alternate user interface (UI) to VantageQGC and allows your system to become a participant in federal / DoD TAK infrastructures.  The user may distribute video, publish / observe Cursor on Target (CoT) messaging, track friendlies, text/chat, and take advantage of all the features of ATAK to participate in your team's Common Operating Picture (COP).  

Overview of requirements:
  1. Vesper or Trace with Vision2 GCS
  2. Vantage QGC software loaded on Vision2 to configure system radios
  3. ATAK core platform and UAS Tool software to fly vehicle
  4. Hotspot via LTE or Wi-Fi to connect Vision2 for back haul communication to TAK server and Video Management Server (VMS)
  5. User procured TAK server and VMS to host Vision2 to distribute video and participate on the COP
General Workflow:
  1. Connect vehicle and Vision2 via VantageQGC and perform a channel scan and enable Frequency Hopping (if available)
  2. Close the VantageQGC application
  3. Open ATAK and UAS Tool to fly Vesper / Trace
