Can Vesper be used to create orthomosaics or 3D terrain models?

Vesper absolutely can be used for creating orthomosaics. Here's some additional info on Vesper's key capabilities for photogrammetry:

  • Photos are tagged with the appropriate pose and GPS data to support photogrammetry
  • 44 km flight range covers more land area than any comparable drone of similar size
  • 45 mph flight speed makes data capture extremely fast for large areas in all conditions
  • Optimal range and coverage is best achieved with a speed of ~10m/s
  • 45 acre capture region at 70% overlap with a 1 cm GSD from 120 m altitude in a single flight 
  • QGroundControl comes preloaded on our Vision GCS for photogrammetry mission planning
  • Pix4D and other photogrammetry software can be used for image processing, but it is not currently integrated with our Vision GCS
