On the Vision2 touchscreen, tap the Cog Wheel (Android Settings) > scroll down, tap Connected Devices > tap USB > scroll down to USE USB FOR section > tap File Transfer > navigate back to the home screen.
Laptop will detect a new drive labeled Kona for arm64.
From laptop, copy and paste downloaded CustomQGC .apk file to Kona for arm64 > Internal shared storage > Documents folder.
Disconnect USB-C cable from Vision2
On Vision2, tap File Folder icon > tap Documents > tap downloaded CustomQGC .apk file > tap Install > tap Accept to all warnings to complete install.
Alternative Method
Insert flash drive (thumbstick) to Vision2 and format.
Insert formatted flash drive to computer / laptop.
From laptop, copy and paste the CustomQGC .apk file onto flash drive.
Insert flash drive to Vision2 > select file > tap ACCEPT to warning message and complete install.
Part III: QGC configuration
After installation, open CustomQGC.
Tap ALLOW for all subsequent dialog boxes requesting access to functions of Vision2. If QGC crashes,
reopen the application to resume.
Tap Q (upper left corner of screen) > tap Settings > tap General > scroll to the
bottom of the page and verify software version
QGC software version is listed on the top line of the section. Example: CustomQGC Version v2.3.11f 64 bit
Ensure version installed corresponds to software release announcement.
Update radio firmware (if required)
Insert Swappable Radio Module (SRM) into Vision2. *Note: Vesper SRM requires 60 seconds to boot and initialize / Trace SRM 20 seconds
Tap OK for subsequent dialog boxes that may appear.
In QGC, tap Q > tap Settings > tap Vantage Radio
In the Connection Status section, if Waiting for Connection is displayed with no dialog box stating
Newer firmwareavailable, proceed to step 7.
QGC determines if SRM requires a firmware update. Tap Upgrade Firmware in the dialog box and allow QGC to initiate update.
Firmware update is complete when Connection Status transitions to Waiting for Connection. Text depicting the radio and firmware version is located at the bottom of the page (see table and image below).

Troubleshooting an unsuccessful update
Connection Status states Radio Booting or Radio Invalid or Not Detected for over 2 minutes: navigate to the Vision2 Home page > locate and long press CustomQGC icon > tap App Info > tap FORCE STOP > reopen CustomQGC. If the issue persists, detach and reinsert SRM to reinitiate boot up sequence > navigate back to Vantage Radio page.
Build numbers do not match Local Radio version from table above after update: navigate to a different Settings page such as General > navigate back to Vantage Radio to refresh the page. Local Radio corresponds to Vision2 / Remote Radio corresponds to Vesper UAV.
